SEAMOLEC with Cambodia Again

SEAMEO SEAMOLEC and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), Cambodia collaboratively conducted a training on ‘Instructional Design for e-Learning' at Pre-School Teacher Training Centre, Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 11-14 December 2007. The training was the second activity after last year both institutions conducted a training on Basic ICT for Instruction at the same place on 21-24 August 2006. The present activity was intended to train teachers, lecturers, and educators to explore and demonstrate the development of an instructional design for e-learning. This is a very important part in ICT training series as they are preparing to use web-based course in their teaching and learning activity.
The Secretary of state, Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport, HE, Mr. Im Sethy officially opened the training. In the opening ceremony, also present the former SEAMOLEC Governing Board member, H.E. Dr. Nath Bunroun, and the Director of Information and ASEAN Affairs Department Mr. Om Sethy and his Deputy, Mr. Doung Vuth, and Mr. Leang Seng Hak, the Director of teacher Training Department. From SEAMOLEC were, Ms. Paulina Pannen, the Director, Mr. Muhammad Lukman, the training manager, Mr. Bagus Dwipayana, marketing Department, and Mr. Sahid, a resource person.
A total of 29 participants consist of officials, administrators, lecturers, and teachers participated in the event. At the end of the training, the officials from both institutions planned to conduct the next training, web-based instructional material development using non-licensed learning platform. The training was closed officially by H.E. Mr. Leang Seng Hak.
