Wokshop on ODL Practices using E-Learning and Multicast Technology

Innovative ICT applications are timely since we live in ‘the information age' at a time when the use of ICT permeates all aspects of our lives. Nowadays, the use of ICT in educational settings is marginal and often peripheral, acting as an 'add on' to regular classroom work in many instances. We could use technologies to perpetuate and reinforce what we have been doing in traditional ways for decades, or we could use the machines as artifacts of innovation for teaching and learning in new ways. One of the forms of the use of ICT in teaching and learning process is implementing the use of Course Management System (CMS) as supplement in teaching and learning environment in terms of E-Learning context and also the implementation ODL classess using multicast technology in video conference to perform the live class and interaction.

 

In 6 days workshop about 19 participants from P4TK and other consortium will have assisstances in how to build e-learning content and understanding the system deeply, they also will have more knowledge in how to implement the live classess using the video conference system with multicast technology.
