3. Stage of training in each promotion

Stage 1: pedagogical advice.
-
Stage 2: demonstration class.
-
Stage 3: pedagogical meeting.

Stage 4: tutoring using distance training modules.
Each stage lasts one month (theory 2 weeks and practice 2 weeks). After studying 4 months at Faculty of Pedagogy and 3 months of teaching practice in their own province trainees. They have teaching practice exam in the field and written exam at Faculty of Pedagogy. Then they will receive Primary Teacher Trainer Certificate.
4. The present duty of teacher trainers
Every teacher trainer throughout the country has to work within his or her district according to the trimester plan of MoEYS. The plan for each trimester comprises:

Giving pedagogical advice to unqualified teachers from 15 to 21 teachers every trimester.

Holding technical meeting on teaching each trimester within respective school clusters.

Holding a meeting on methodology 4 times.

Giving tutorial session on distance education by setting up a meeting through distance learning manual for 4 times per module.

Teacher trainers have to attend seminar twice a year since 1998. Previously, set up for the seminar:
1st seminar : strengthening tutorial activity using distance learning modules.
2nd seminar : reviewing modules.
3rd seminar : producing and evaluating modules.
5. Tutorial activities

Make the trimester plan for teacher trainers.

Study the trimester report writing.

Follow up with setting up tests to find out successful achievement of teachers.

Making supplement any guide.
6. Preparing materials for a seminar
-
Development of 4 modules for the second seminar:
1st module: how to write the lesson objective.
2nd module: detail children competencies in each lesson.
3rd module: questioning usage.
4th module: competency evaluation.

Making a guideline for setting up a meeting.
-
Developing strategy for teaching social study and science in primary school.

Constructing instruments for testing teaching competence on Khmer language, mathematics and pedagogy at primary schools based on distance learning principle.

Preparing logbook related to self- access of the teachers.

Preparing books related to budgeting and equipment (materials) provided by PASEC for teacher trainers and inspectors for primary level.

Reviewing trimester report of teacher trainer.
-
Reviewing books (curriculum, activities, the content of the 3rd seminar, making and evaluating text writing);
-
Producing statistic books of teacher trainers and provincial inspectors in district.
