Recommendations

Regional cooperation and associate membership of SEAMOLEC can make a vital contribution to the present initiative and future development work in Distance Education, through:

1. Intensive, task-specific training courses (both in-country and overseas), for writers of distance learning materials by experts from the regional countries and associate member countries of SEAMOLEC.
2. Study visit to interns at established centres for distance learning in the regional countries and associate member countries of SEAMOLEC.
3. Assistance (hardware and software) for establishing a National Resource Centre for Distance Education.

Technical assistance from regional countries and associate member countries of SEAMOLEC to assist in evaluating initial efforts, and in initiating medium and long planning for the development of Distance Education.
