Faculties and courses

FACULTIES AND COURSES

 

The Open University has four faculties, i.e., (1) Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science, (2) Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Science, (3) Faculty of Economic, (4) Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Thought those faculties, UT offering more than 900 courses under 30 study programs. Completion of a study program required a student to earn about 144-145 credit hours or to enroll in about 53-55 courses. A course is developed by a course team consisting of the writers, instructional designers, and media specialist. Each faculty develops its own courses.

 

1) Faculty of Education (FKIP):

  • Degree program (S-1):

    (1) Indonesian Language Education,

    (2) English Education,

    (3) Mathematic Education,

    (4) Chemistry Education,

    (5) Biology Education,

    (6) Physics Education,

    (7) Economic Education,

    (8) Civil Education, and

    (9) Primary School Teacher Education.

    Each program is designed for in-service teacher training programs, meaning enrolling students must be practicing teachers.

  • Diploma II (D II)
    • (1) Primary School Teacher Education,
    • (2) Physical Education, and
    • (3) Kindergarten Teacher Education.
  • Certificate Program
    • Teaching Certificate (Akta Mengajar II, III, dan IV) designed for practicing teachers with non-teaching educational background.
    • Faculty of Economic: Degree Program (S-1) in the field of (1) Economics and Developmental Business Administration, (2) Management, and (3) Accounting.
    • Faculty of Social and Political Sciences:
      • Degree Program (S-1) in the field of (1) Public Administration, (2)Business Administration, (3) Government Science, (4) Communication, and (5) Sociology.
      • Diploma III Program on (1) Taxation and (2) English Translation.
      • Diploma II Program on Library Science.
    • Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
      • Degree Program (S-1) in the field of (1) Statistics, (2) Mathematics, (3) Biology, (4) Food Technology, and (5) Agricultural Extension and Communication.
      • Diploma I Program on Environmental Management.
