Conclusions
Under changing situation worldwide both socially and economically, the demand for distance education is growing rapidly. So also is the scenario in Myanmar, where the student enrolment for distance education is rising rather very rapidly. The UDE, in this dynamic situation, is therefore making endeavors to evolve necessary undertakings that enable equitable access to education, enrichment of the content of distance education to include more applied and employment related courses and finally promote continuing education to upgrade the skills of those who are already in the workforce and to improve the quality of life and human resources of the nation in general.
